January AOPC Meeting – Steven Hunter

January 19, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm CST

Steven Hunter, a nature photographer who has photographed extensively in Arkansas and Oklahoma, will be speaking in January. He has authored several books, including: “Mount Magazine, Looking for the Light, a Photographers Journey,” “Graced by the Light, the Cherokee Prairies,” “The Wichita Mountains, an Oklahoma Treasure,” and am working on a fourth book, “Let There be Light, Images of Oklahoma.”

Let There Be Light –  Nature Photography by Steven Hunter” will be a beautiful slide program showcasing his nature photography images taken over the past twenty years, emphasizing recent work. The images will encompass western Arkansas and all of Oklahoma. You will be treated to cloud-filled landscapes; beautiful and rare wildflowers; butterflies; evocative wildlife portraits; and colorful, amazing birds. He will share the stories behind many pictures during the program and field questions afterward. Books will be available for sale and autographing.

“Nature photography started out as a means for me to cope with severe depression but eventually took on a life of its own. I am the photographer and author of three books on nature photography and have a fourth one in the works. I hope that you will find inspiration and joy in my images.”
