Nick Dawson’s bio: “I have been an avid photographer for what seems all my life (well, at least since age eight!) and have been privileged to have traveled extensively with my cameras. I have always been interested in landscape, nature (flora and fauna), sports and event photography and that continues to be the case. From a Kodak Brownie to a current model Canon R5 my photographic equipment has been an eclectic mix.”

VISITING TURKEY AND BALLOONING IN CAPADDOCIA

After visiting the cultural sights of Istanbul, it was off to central Anatolia and Cappadocia to explore the magnificent scenery, geology, and cultural history of the region by road and hot air balloon. Having been previously able to crew on a balloon for a friend who is a professional hot air balloon pilot, in the US and France, I was able to experience more than the average tourist and become more immersed in Turkish culture and daily life.
